‘You’re doing a great job, keep going’ was the message from Baroness Dido Harding, Chair of NHS Improvement during a visit to Surrey Heartlands last month.
Baroness Harding, Chair of NHS Improvement made an informal visit to Surrey Heartlands when she had the opportunity to meet partners and front-line staff. She was particularly impressed by the level of partnership working we have achieved and encouraged us to ‘keep going’.
Visiting the @Home service at Epsom Hospital – an integrated team of multi-professionals helping to support people to get home from hospital quickly – the Baroness was really interested to learn more from the team and felt the model was one we should be replicating right across the system. During her visit she also had the opportunity to visit a local GP practice in Fetcham and to have a round table discussion with partners and local Primary Care Network (GP) leads.
Dr Claire Fuller, who hosted the visit, commented: “This was a great opportunity to showcase some of the work we are doing in Surrey Heartlands and to give partners and front-line staff the opportunity to have an open discussion with a senior leader from one of our key regulators.”
