A network of Professional Champions have been recruited to support service transformation across Surrey Heartlands. These Professional Champions are from a diverse range of professions including Allied Health Professionals, Psychologists and Ophthalmologists and their role is to ensure the continued development of multi-professional leadership across the system.

They will work with the Surrey Heartlands Academy and other stakeholders to support the development of professional networks, linking into the regional and national architecture, and to influence system change.

Said Sarah Parker, Director of Transformation and The Academy: “I’m delighted that our network of Professional Champions are now in post. They will be key in supporting integration within their profession and across the system, ensuring their professions are represented in the wider work and can influence system change.  They’ll also ensure equity of access to information about available opportunities to colleagues, such as research and training.”
