Expressions of interest are being sought from across the Surrey Heartlands workforce for Professional Champions to support transformation work.
A range of Professional Champions will be recruited to ensure the continued development of multi-professional leadership across the Integrated Care System (ICS). The Champions will be from a range of professions including Clinical Scientists, Dentists, Phamacists and Pharmacy Technicians, Allied Health Professionals, Social Workers and Psychological Therapists. They will complement other professions including GPs, medical directors and nurses who are already well represented.
The Professional Champions will spend around half a day a week working in this new role, developing networks across the ICS, promoting Surrey Heartlands as a workplace and working together to organise an annual event to showcase Surrey Heartlands’ pioneering work.
Said Sarah Parker, Surrey Heartlands Director of Transformation and the Academy, who is leading this project: “These exciting new roles aim to complement the medical and nursing leadership ‘voices’ already within the system. They will ensure their profession is well represented and can influence system change, and also make sure colleagues have access to information about available opportunities, such as research and professional development, as well as helping to build a network to support our continued system development.”
Applications for these roles close in mid February after which the shortlisting and interviewing process will begin.
