As the under-5 childhood immunisation rates continue to decline, a pattern which is reflected in Surrey, we need your help and ideas on how we can work together to boost these rates.  NHS data for 2018-19 showed uptake of the first dose of the MMR vaccine fell from 91.2% to 90.3% in England – the fifth year in a row it has dropped – with the UK also losing its ‘measles-free’ status as cases continue to increase.

Across Surrey Heartlands we’ve been undertaking our own research into vaccination patterns and behaviours which we’ll also be sharing at the event in January.

We will also be taking a closer look at our plans for cancer services – a key element within the Long Term Plan – and in particular, looking at some of the major screening programmes where we need to boost uptake (in particular bowel and cervical screening).

Join us for the afternoon on 15th January by booking your place here.
