The Academy has received a request from Thames Valley and Surrey Care Records Partnership for expressions of interest to join a new reference group to provide insight and leadership.

The partnership is creating an information sharing environment for health and care services across Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire and with Milton Keynes University Hospital.  This will allow health and care data to be shared and anonymous data to be analysed, trends identified and turned into actions to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.

The partnership wishes to appoint six to eight professionals from across the region and across professional domains (to include representation of primary care, hospital care, mental health, social care, allied health professionals, pharmacists, midwives, nurses, doctors and trainees).

This will be for a 1-year term (January-December 2020), with the possibility of extension for a further year, and the expectation is a commitment of 0.5 day per month, with the possibility of further time for additional activities such as:

o Preparation and attendance at Clinical and Design Authority Group on four occasions (over the year) to ensure at least two professional representatives are present at each monthly meeting

o Leading at least one local and one profession-specific roadshow

o Active participation in the programme’s region-wide engagement events

o Representing the programme at national meetings, workshops and conferences as required.

Time and travel expenses will be reimbursed. To apply send a brief (2-page maximum) CV; a covering letter explaining how the programme will help your professional group benefit the partnership’s citizens; and an email/letter of support from your line manager to fhft.thamesvalleysurreycarerecords@nhs.net

The deadline for applications is 15th January 2020.
