Pramit Patel has been appointed as the Lead Primary Care Network (PCN) Clinical Director for Surrey Heartlands, representing the collective voice of PCNs across Surrey Heartlands.
His role will include acting as a conduit for the other PCN Clinical Directors, attending board meetings, and contributing to key Surrey Heartlands strategies, ensuring that Primary Care Networks are fully represented.
Pramit qualified as a GP in 2011 and is a GP partner at Greystone House Surgery in Redhill. He has a keen interest in leadership, training, minor surgery and vasectomy and has experience in improving out of hospital care, working with both the community and secondary care colleagues.
In 2014/5 he was part of a small team which created the local GP federation which has gone on to serve a membership of 550,000 patients in the East Surrey and North West Sussex region, directly supporting PCNs with project management, recruitment and finance assistance.
Said Dr Claire Fuller, Surrey Heartlands Senior Responsible Officer: “We’re delighted to welcome Pramit into this role and look forward to working together to continue to strengthen primary care across Surrey Heartlands.”
