Surrey Heartlands Senior Responsible Officer Dr Claire Fuller took part in this year’s NHS Confederation conference event in Manchester speaking on the topic of ‘Achieving integrated care by 2021: how do we get there?’
The session was chaired by Dominic Hardy, Director of Primary Care and System Transformation, NHS England and NHS Improvement, and also featured senior leaders from other wave one and wave two integrated care systems (ICS) on their experiences developing an integrated care system as well as areas on the journey to becoming an ICS and what more needs to be done to reach the target outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan for all of England to be served by an ICS by 2021.
The panel also included Adam Doyle Adam Doyle, CEO from neighbouring Sussex and East Surrey STP and Julia Ross, Chief Executive Officer for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and former Chief Executive at North West Surrey CCG.
Dr Fuller said: “I was delighted to be on a panel with Adam Doyle, our neighbours in East Surrey and Sussex, and Julia Ross. Overall it was enormously interesting to hear of the great work going on around the country.”
