Those involved in Surrey 500 Leadership programme will know that we’re working in partnership with the organisational development team at Novartis.
This is a new partnership for us and one of the ways we are exploring how we can bring in expertise and resource from different places – such as industry. This partnership has brought in the equivalent of £51,000 investment as Novartis shares the time of its organisational development consultants to support Surrey 500.
Alongside this, the Academy has been working with governance, medicines optimisation and pharmacy colleagues across the partnership to look at our processes and governance for agreeing work with industry as a system. This robust system approach will be the foundation for us to explore future opportunities with industry partners who want to support us in our ambitious.
As part of this work we have developed a mission statement which sums up what we want to achieve through these partnerships:
“Surrey Heartlands wants to develop mature, authentic and truly collaborative partnership with a range of industry partners, attracting inward investment and innovation to deliver our system ambitions.
We will work with industry partners where we have shared ambitions and values, on projects and investments that put the health and wellbeing of the citizens of Surrey Heartlands at the core of everything we do.
Our ambition is that Surrey Heartlands becomes a leading exemplar of how integrated care systems can work with industry to benefit the health and wellbeing of our citizens.”
We’ll keep you updated on this work as we develop our system approach and look forward to exciting new developments in the future.
