Community health services provider and Surrey Heartlands partnership member CSH Surrey has been busy making a number of significant improvements to its facilities.
CSH Surrey has completely redeveloped the vacant Victoria Ward at Woking hospital, turning it into the new Walk-in Centre (WiC), which has greatly improved facilities for patients. It features spacious and private treatment areas, all with brand new clinical equipment, a larger and more comfortable waiting area and is dementia-friendly. Earlier the hospital had also been fitted out with a brand new x-ray machine. Both developments are providing patients with much improved care.
CSH has also relocated all of its key enabling teams into a new dedicated facility in the centre of Woking. With the aim of improving the support to front line clinical teams, the new Clinical Support & Training Centre brings together services such as HR, Finance, Estates & Facilities and Digital as well as the Executive Team for the first time in one location to create a much more effective work environment better able to serve front-line clinical colleagues.
The new offices have already seen changes in working culture with lots of personal conversations replacing emails. All of this work is part of CSH’s ongoing estates improvement strategy.
