Surrey and Borders Partnership – working with the University of Surrey and the Kent Surrey Sussex Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) – has won a £1.6 million bid to fund a health technology accelerator centre on the Surrey University campus.
The bid was awarded by the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership which supports and sustains economic growth in the M3 corridor.
The funding will enable design and living laboratories to be set up at the University of Surrey so that products and processes can be developed and tested in a real time with participation by our Surrey Heartlands workforce.
The Surrey Heartlands Academy and the Kent Surrey Sussex AHSN will work together to develop the pipeline of projects into the health technology accelerator. This work has been informed by a recent study tour to Denmark hosted by the KSS AHSN where they saw some examples of similar health innovation in action.
